Multimedia Production Assistant - Contract

Wage:                   Hourly – Negotiable depending upon education, skills, and experience

Schedule:            25 – 30 hours per week. 5-8 hours a day, Monday – Friday.

  • Reports to Multimedia Manager for daily assignments/tasks
  • Develops training specific to instructional content for web-based training materials.
  • Functions on curriculum team(s) and independently in the design, development, and testing of instructional materials.
  • Contributes to updating, authoring, and development of e-learning content and blended learning solutions (presentations, videos, and audio) for company LMS.
  • Verifies that published e-learning content meets the company’s quality control standards.
  • Must work in our Santa Ana, CA office – this is not a remote position.



The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to perform the position in a satisfactory manner.  

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Experience working with e-learning and blended learning programs, web-based training development, and asynchronous learning content.
  • Experience working with video editing programs, producing video content, and converting video formats
  • Experience creating effective animated PowerPoint slides
  • Minimum of 3 years in the technology industry or a technology department. Two or more years solid experience in a functional training role with emphasis on technology and business process training development and design.
  • Must be familiar with Adobe series editing tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects, etc. as well as other video, audio, and eLearning tools (Articulate Storyline 360 or similar).
  • Must be proficient at video editing and encoding.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word and PowerPoint, particularly as used in the development of instructional content.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related instructional content, development, or delivery field, or equivalent industry experience or certification.
  • Proven track record in developing original and innovative technical and related process training content; experience developing self-paced learning content.
  • Experience working with e-learning and blended learning programs, web-based training development, and asynchronous learning content.
  • Perform quality-assurance procedures on all deliverables as defined by workflow process. Possess working knowledge of final deliverable formats (file formats, compression codecs)
  • Excellent written and verbal English skills for the purpose of documentation development, curriculum development, editing and communication.
  • Complete fluency in English required. Other language skills welcome, but not required.

Essential Job Functions – On a consistent basis, this position requires the ability to:

  • Stand or sit during entire shift, excluding meal and rest periods
  • Communicate effectively with management and other team members
  • Organize and work under strict time and production deadlines, while producing quality deliverables
  • Multi-task and change priorities as needed
  • Work independently and as part of a team with minimal coaching or supervision; highly self-motivated and self-managed
  • Report to work on time
